Red Historia Venezuela on YouTube

I am thrilled to share with you our latest interview with our friends at Transmedia HistoryTelling and the IFPH Explorers, where I had the opportunity to discuss the work of our organization, The Venezuelan Digital History Network Foundation (Venezuela History Network). During the event, we explored the challenges of digitization and cultural heritage preservation in Venezuela, particularly in the context of a lack of institutional funding, staffing, and concrete policies to preserve historical records in the country. We also explored the tensions that exist between official (state) archives and grass-roots repositories and how we can bring them into the same platform to have a more comprehensive understanding of a nation's history and its contradictions.

Participating in the event was a great chance to connect with like-minded individuals and gain valuable insights into the world of Public History and transmediality. I encourage you to check out the interview to learn more about our organization's efforts to preserve and promote Venezuela's historical memory.
